The ACT Work Safety Commissioner (previously the OHS Commissioner) is a statutory office holder appointed by the ACT Government under the Work Safety Act 2008. The primary functions of the Work Safety Commissioner are to:
- promote an understanding and acceptance of, as well as compliance with, the Work Safety Act 2008 and associated laws
- undertake research and develop educational material for the purposes of promoting health and safety in the ACT
- advise the relevant Minister on matters pertaining to health and safety in the ACT.
The Work Safety Commissioner is also a member of the ACT's OHS Council.

The current Commissioner is Mr Mark McCabe, who took up his appointment on 4 February 2008.

Previous Commissioners include Ms. Jocelyn Plovits and Mr Erich Jannsen. Mr Steve Hart acted as OHS Commissioner throughout most of 2007.
